Mission Statement: (See Web Site For Updated Information)
Our Mission: To provide community-based services and programs that offer hope and provide for the well-being of children, individuals, families, and communities in need regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, age, or sexual orientation. To assist congregations in identifying and responding to local and regional community needs, and;
To promote social justice, individual self-sufficiency and the inherent worth of each human being.

About Our Camps:
Camp Kids Haven summer camp program, located at Mar-Lu Ridge facility in Jefferson, Md. has served more than 250 DC-and Baltimore-area children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS since 1998.
The Camp program strives to create a warm, loving environment where all children are welcome regardless of their HIV status. Many children infected or affected by HIV and AIDS have little social support to help them come to terms with the disease. At camp, these children are part of an open, supportive community of peers and caring adults, which renews their appreciation of health and life and the importance of making healthy choices.
In 2008, the week-long program will serve children ages 7-13. Bus transportation, camp supplies and all meals are included for campers. Round-the-clock nursing care is provided. There is no charge to youth to attend camp.

This year we are beginning a Teen Haven Retreat program. Teens affected by HIV-AIDS have many challenges in their lives. Teen Haven Retreats offer an opportunity for youth ages 14-18 to step back from daily life and participate in an intimate community where HIV status doesn’t matter and when it is safe to think about and prepare for the future. The weekend retreat combines outdoor recreation with personal and group challenge activities especially geared for adolescents. Round-the-clock nursing care is provided. Bus transportation, supplies and all meals are included for retreat participants. There is no charge to youth to attend.
